Volunteer Notice
People wishing to volunteer for the
2024 Market Fair setup, Road Watch duties, Registration Tent, HQ
Tent, etc., please sign up on this SIGNUP Website.
We can always use volunteers to help
with Market Fair - whether you are a registered participant, a day
tripper, or not dressing up at all, but just want to help.
The work parties will begin on Tuesday at 9 AM, when we will meet
at the dining fly by Capt. Wort's store. A member of
the Market Fair Committee will be there to coordinate volunteer
assignments. There will be a mandatory volunteer meeting on
Tuesday at 4:00 pm under the large dining fly beside Capt. Wort's
store.
We need volunteers to help with Fair
equipment setup and/or teardown, the Auction, manning the Friends
Headquarters tent, Gate Registration, managing incoming camper and
sutler traffic, shuttle drivers (golf carts) for handicap
assistance, clearing vehicles out of camp in the evening, and
more. The volunteer Coordinator will be the contact to assign all
duties.
Campers and Sutlers who volunteer to
help with event setup and/or tear down may set up their camp as
early as Monday of Market Fair week (but no earlier.) No
early setup is allowed unless you are volunteering and
have received confirmation of that from the Volunteer
Coordinator.
The Friends of Fort Frederick State Park contributes support to the park by sponsoring educational activities and programs throughout the year, as well as contributing financially to support the park's historical, cultural and administrative needs.
